Our mission is to support the growth and sustainability of arts and culture and to provide economic prosperity for our artiists and community .

As a small town in the middle of the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado, we have a vibrant art community with many talented artists who call Silverton their home.  The Silverton Creative District was formed by several local artists who were interested in develping a stronger arts presence and a more diversified economy in our mountain caldera.  Having formed shortly before the pandmenic, the Board of Directors has been working diligently with Colorado State and local organizations to build and promote the arts culture, community and ecomony in the San Juan's as we find ourselves stretching out of a very tough year for all.  We are finding opportunity in the face of adversity in recognizing that The Silverton Creative District has a change to celebrate our town opening back up, our people returning to our community, and that we need the arts more than ever to help us celebrate who we are, how lucky we are, and where we will go in the future!  We can create a solidified pathway for the Creative District through programing and building opportunities across our community that integrates the arts into our economy, education and culture.
