FIREWORKS – after dark – still scheduled at this time
Have a fabulous fourth in Silverton!

Campfires and petroleum-fueled stoves are allowed in both campgrounds ONLY in approved portable self contained fire pits.

NOTE – Fireworks are not allowed and those using them are subject to fines.
Many activities, including shopping, restaurants, attractions, and live music.

Fun Run
– 2K,5K & 10K at Memorial Park. To pre-register, email your information (age and address to gro.p1464251779pasr@1464251779eiluJ1464251779 and pay on day of race. Registrations on day of race at 6:00am. Race starts at 7:30am. Race fee of $25 includes t-shirt. This is a fundraiser for Silverton Youth Center. For questions, call Julie at 760-846-5853.

Parade – 10:30am on main street followed by Fire Departments water fight

Entrants line up by 10am at the Courthouse at 15th and Greene. Must be 50% decorated & in RED WHITE & BLUE.

International Rhubarb Festival following parade at Memorial Park with free Silverton Brass Band concert. Sponsored by Friends of the Library.
Delectable rhubarb treats can be topped off with ice cream if you desire. For sale only as long as they last, so don’t miss out. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Library.

During the Rhubarb Festival will be Silverton Youth Center’s Fundrasier BBQ.  Hot Dogs, Chips an soda!

Ducky Derby – launch time is 2 pm at Memorial Park – a fun and unique event
Purchase your duck and ducky t-shirt ahead of time at the Visitors Center at 414 Greene Street, or purchase at the Chamber tent at Memorial Park during the festivities.



2016 4th of July Camping

We will be operating 2 different campgrounds on a 1st come 1st serve basis:

Depot Campground (across the tracks at the train depot 10th & Cement)

Kendall Mtn. Campground (KMCC 14th & Mineral)

The camping fee is $10 per person per night (14 yrs. or older).

Each campground will have port-o-johns, dumpsters, potable water and 24 hr. security.

Campfires are allowed in both campgrounds ONLY in approved self-contained fire pits.

(fire pits are available for rent while they last @ $10 per week with a $10 refundable deposit)

(firewood is available for sale)

Dogs are allowed but must remain leashed and owners must clean up after their dogs.

Quiet Time is between midnight & 8:00 a.m.

Littering, fireworks & open fire fines STRICTLY ENFORCED.

The Following Rules Are STRICTLY ENFORCED:

You must have a permit for each vehicle.  Every camper must have a wristband.

  1. Campfires are only allowed in pre-approved, self-contained fire pits.
  2. No illegal fireworks! $300 fine.
  3. Dogs must remained leashed or tied at all times. (You are responsible for cleaning up after your dog!)
  4. Quiet time is midnight to 8 a.m. No generators or excessive noise during this time.
  5. No ATV’s or dirt bikes allowed in camping areas – except camp host & employees.
  6. Place trash in dumpsters & cans provided.  Littering Fines STRICTLY ENFORCED.
  7. Watch for pedestrians in the road. Speed limit is 15 mph.
  8. Do not dump waste on the ground. The following places have water & dump available:
